Not sure where to report this, so I'll do it here.

According to https://kdenlive.org/2017/09/kdenlive-17-08-1-released/, the "Windows: terminate KDE session on window close" bug was fixed in the latest version.

However, I downloaded it twice, and the problem doesn't seem to have been solved.
I tried exiting using Ctrl-Q, the menu or the cross, same result : the kdenlive process is still running and I have to end it manually.

The problem needs more investigations, but nobody has time for this
