Hey everyone,
I am sorry if I am repeating here (didn't find relevant info about it) I use Mint Cinnamon 18.2 with all the latest updates. I have Kdenlive repository as well... Why don't I get the latest Kdenlive version? I've read somewhere that there is some issues about it... Is there any option to overcome this (except compiling by my own) ? Thanks! |

You can download the AppImage (It do not need to be installed)
https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... mirrorlist. Or add Kdenlive PPA |

I have the Kdenlive PPA, but they don't help...
AppImage is a good solution... But I prefer to install into the system and let it be updated automaticaly as soon as a new version comes out... |

Mint is based on Ubuntu LTS, which is stuck at Qt5.5.
Kdenlive 17.08 and later depend on more recent Qt: it would require to rebuild Qt & all dependencies (into a separate dir not to mess the system): this is much work, I don't have time to do it, next LTS is in 6 months, and AppImage offers a fallback for the few releases meanwhile... |
