I had Kdenlive open and clicked run configuration Wizard and a window popped up and said I need FriOr (freiOr-plugins) and dvauthor are both missing Packages.

The question here is how would I get these plugins
I tried opening Software Manager and searched for the Apps there, but nothing showed up.

My machine is running Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon, has 2 DVD drive, 64 GB Ram, Intel I5 CPU and 4 3 TB hard drives, not running any raid configuration

Try in the command line:

sudo apt-get install frei0r-plugins dvdauthor

what version of kdenlive are you using? I think the newest don't need this steps.
