Hi all,
I'm running kdenlive 4:17.08.2-0ubuntu1 with MLT version 6.4.1 on Ubuntu 17.10.

The crash occurs when I try to stabilize clips - the progress bar usually shows and almost runs through, but at some point the app usually crashes.
The terminal reads:

I would be thankful for any help and hope that I provided enough information for you, if not I'd of course post it as well!

Thank you for the tip!

I have downloaded and tried the AppImage - it still crashes, but with a different error :o ;

Humm a picture of size 1.6 G * 1.6 G pixels makes a very huge size. It is certainly due to a corrupted image or video file.
Try with other video or image

I have tried with some other video files that I had used in previous projects a while back and the crashes persisted - I am not absolutely sure, but it looks a bit as if the error occurs when the new stabilized clip is automatically added to the project.

Ah, I didn't notice you where talking about stabilization.
These external libs are quite unreliable and not well maintained :(
Maybe try stabilizing the clip externally with FFmpeg?
