Windows 10 Kdenlive 17.04.3

Where are the keyframe handles that are shown in this tutorial? there is nothing on the clip when I add keframes to a clip. Has this been removed?

If you click on the effect that has the keyframes, they should show up; otherwise you won't see them (such as when you click on the clip in the timeline). This is probably because you can use multiple effects that all have keyframes.

I tried clicking the effect. Nothing happens and the handles don't show. Might be a Windows issue. Maybe Kdenlive for Windows is broken.

My bad. The handles do show but not an all effects with keyframes. Added a position/zoom effect and the handles show on the clip. They do not show with a box blur effect. I guess it's effect specific.
