hi Vincent... there is a strange issue...

i created some projects on last months using the 17.08.2-2 release..
after 1 week of stop (i have to make new footages)
i reopened old projects (same kdenlive version) .. and i receive the VC runtime error..

i checked that all sources (MP3/AVi) are correctly located .. and everything seems ok.

after closing the runtime error window (using "OK") the Kdenlive main application become completely irresponsive (i have to kill it using the task manager)

this is related to the localization numbers format (i changed decimal symbol from "," to "." and the Digit grouping symbol from "." to ",")
and this mean that if an user change these "variables" or system language.. can receive a "critical" error reopening old projects. (only on Win64 version?)
i don't know if is possible to do a check to the project XML when opening .. just to trow an alert if these metrics are incorrect. (i'm just suggesting)

BTW this mean that projects can't be shared if users are not using the same OS language...

P.S. on the project file there is this:
Code: Select all
  <property name="kdenlive:docproperties.decimalPoint">,</property>

Hello bartoloni,
I believe sharing projects across locales is a problem on Linux too (and in Shotcut as the locales juggling comes from MLT).
It is strange to get a VC error, while I cross-build everything from zero with mingw64 (gcc): the error get down very low in the stack then.
Not sure if a bug is already filed about locales changes, we should have a project update feature, but maybe it will not be so obvious...
Maybe not in the very top priorities to fix?

i'm also a little bit puzzled about this VC error (i know that Win64 build is made with Mingw) ... this is a screenshot:
i think that this is related to the FFMPEG binaries. (the only part that is not builded from your build-servers) but the Visual C Runtime error are reporting "kdenlive.exe"

BTW is absolutely not on top of necessary fixes. :) just reported because was "strange"
