Greetings!
Having a bit of a hiccup, first time using KDEnlive. When attempting to Render via MP4:
Normally if I was on Linux I would search Repos first but Windows operates a bit differently, especially as this isn't an installed program. Windows 10 Pro, Quad-Core i5 (Sandy Bridge) @ 3.1 Ghz, ASUS 550ti, 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM |

Hello,
If I'm not wrong, this bug was in 17.08, fixed since then. Please try downloading the latest 17.12.0 Good luck! |

Okay, so I found that someone else had come up with a fix:
https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108162 Basically change theme to generate a config file, (Settings> Theme) Then, manually reset the file locations (Settings> Configure Kdenlive, Environment) Just finished rendering my first video, though no actual video displayed in the final result, just the audio. Going to play around a bit and see if I can find where the issue is. |

Okay, so after some testing:
MP4 will render but with no video, only audio. AVI has screen sheering, and some strange green artifacting towards the beginning of the video. WMV - No issue. WEBM - Crashes completely. This is all with the new update as well, with the recommended ffmpeg installed into the program directory for MP4 h.264 support, which didn't enable the MP4 h.264 in the first place. And, Kdenlive.exe stays as a background process, opening a new background process every time it is opened, which needs to be closed through task manager. |

Having a similar issue. I'm getting an error saying that there is an unsupported codec "libx264" and "libx265" for MP4 format.

When installing the new version, you have to clean all older kdenlive version environment under your %USER%AppData folders ( Local, Roaming). There are some posst in this forum about that.

For X264/MP4 certainly you have not installed the ffmpeg librairies pointed by https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win64 ... shared.zip

This was a complete first time installation, there were no older versions on my computer. And I did follow the instructions and installed the ffmpeg library.

try to replace the FFmpeg binaries with these:
https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win64 ... shared.zip (some builds are not working) |

Hi, just FYI, the official download page for the windows version of kdenlive still links to the non-working ffmpeg, if you want to pass that on to someone who can fix it. |
