Kdenlive for Windows issues
I've used Kdenlive on Ubuntu without any problem but most of my work is done on a Windows 10 64 bit machine so I thought I would install. WHAT A DISAPPIONTMENT ---- I installed as recommended, unzipping using 7-zip then moved files from ffmpeg bin and presets into the Kdenlive root folder --- BUT IT JUST DOESN'T WORK (I even tried removing the older versions of the files). Downloads I used are Kdenlive-17.2.12.0-w64.7z and ffmpeg-20171217-387eeld-win64. It can't cope with MP3, MP4, Flac (although it can cope with MPG and JPG) so is not much use to me really and the preview panel is just vertical green/yellow stripes even when playing a jpg image on the timeline. WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG? (:-/) It's such a shame because the Linux version is so good and copes with MP files. |

As said in this forum, try with other ffmpeg version like : https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win64 ... shared.zip or others

I have downloaded and installed using the recommended ffmpeg files and still had some problems adding clips.
For me the solution was to close the program (also had to shut it down via Task Manager, since it seems to keep running in the background) and reopen. The same files that would not open previously would then work. This is a Beta version, I believe, so there seem to be some bugs. |
