Hello, I'm trying to render a clip where many different videos overlap on screen simultaneously throughout the clip.
There's one mp3 file and on all videos I have turned the sound off.
It's 12 videos overlapping and almost all of them have the crop, scale and position effect applied and 5 of them have colour correction effects.
I use on all of them the "addition_alpha" transition.

So after all the work that I've done, I finally wanted to render the project but every time I hit the render button Kdenlive just closes.
I've done other renderings lately but with fewer clips and they were rendered fine.

I have a quite good Computer using Ubuntu 16.04LTS with the following specs:
i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60Ghz x 8
RAM 16GB
SSD 240GB
HDD 2TB
GTX 1060-6GB Graphics Card.

I have not being able to configure the GPU accelerator yet and all in all I could use an optimization for my Computer.

Any ideas?

No I haven't, but meanwhile I've created a new project from scratch and used all the same videos, effects, settings, etc
At every new step I tried to render. When I saw that it worked, I saved the project and continued till the next step.
Finally I managed to "re-do" the whole project from scratch.

My guess is that there did something happen with all the back and forth when testing various effects and settings, importing clips, rearranging them inside the project and so on.. I even tried (in the first project) to delete all the clips except one and when I hit the render button it did the same thing.

I haven't figured out what the exact problem was.

Anyway, thanx a lot for your response.
One question: If I install the latest image from your link, will I be able to open my projects with no problem? I mean will it read the locations of the various clips? Will it apply all the effects and their settings?
