Some MKV files crash Kdenlive

I have two mkv files ripped from two different
Blu-ray discs. One loads perfectly and scrubs real time the other crashes the program the second I try to load it through the file browser. The only difference is the audio codec. One is DTS and the file that crashes is AC3.

This is Kdenlive 17.08.3 on KDE Neon.

I just tried the 17.12.0d appimage of Kdenlive and it seems to work now. Woot!!!

(Sorry I am new to this whole appimage thing and finally took the plunge.)
