OS
try to decompress again latest Windows archive and start Kdenlive without adding ffmpeg binaries. (this is just a test to identify the issue)

BTW there are no issues with latest Kdenlive on windows (all 64 bit versions) .. can be related to your antivirus software?

I've tried what you said.

Firstly I disabled the virus scanner then ran the kdenlive.exe file. Still crashed at start.

I then deleted the files and extracted from the latest archive (17.12) but this time without adding ffmpeg. Ran the application again with the virus scanner still disabled and same result.

Could kdenlive be relying on something I haven't got installed?

Google for: BEX64 StackHash_1dc2

Found some answers:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAuto ... ash_error/
Maybe the graphic card or other programs with intervenes in-between programs

Or:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/i ... crash.html
https://steamcommunity.com/app/209660/d ... 253181214/
which has something to do with the boot configuration order.

[SOLVED] Yes, also encounter the similar error message, when open Kdenlive-17.12.0 (for Windows 7 Pro 64bit) and I managed to overcome / fixed it. This happened after I have removed graphic card (Asus nVidia) and use the onboard Intel Graphic. However, I did not remove the previous graphic driver (Asus nVidia) since my computer can display properly. But then since then I cannot run Kdenlive and keep getting the error & application clashing. I also tried to clear %appdata% and %temp% but still not working. Until then i uninstall the Asus nVidia driver and then Windows Updates my Intel Graphic driver also. And Kdenlive can run properly as before. I just wish to share this experience. Thx
