A friend and I are collaborating on a project. My machine runs Slackware Linux, his runs Windows 10 (both 64-bit). The source material is 4K @23.97fps and comes from a Mavic drone.

On my machine, the clips load fine. On Windows, we get an "invalid clip" error message, although VLC plays them fine on Windows.

The Windows install has the updated ffmpeg files installed as detailed on the download page. I did notice that the replacement avXXX files had a different version number (58 instead of 57), which resulted in the old files being left behind. I deleted the old files.

Whilst I'm competent with Linux, I know very little about Windows. Can anybody offer any suggestions as to what might be wrong here?

As I said, I'm no expert on Windows - and quite happy to keep it that way - but occasionally I do need to get my hands dirty!
