H iall,
I downloaded Kdenlive-18.04.1d-w64 from https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... 1d-w64.zip and everytime I go to run kdenlive.exe from c:\kdenlive-windows, I get the message "kdenlive has stopped working. I have disabled my virus software. I am just working off a laptop. General: After you finish/close Kdenlive in Windows you have to kill each time some processes.
Here is the instruction for the batch file (I can’t upload the file): viewtopic.php?f=265&t=142662#p383445 Start the editor and copy the code into it. Save the file with extension “bat”. After you finish Kdenlive just double click the batch file and all running process gets stopped. Your crash were caused by: ig9icd64.dll, version: 23.20.16.4905 -> seems something to do with the Intel graphics driver. Please disable in Kdenlive the GPU acceleration and try again (CTRL SHIFT , -> playback) |

Ok I have done this bit, but this would only help if I could run the program in the first place! Your crash were caused by: ig9icd64.dll, version: 23.20.16.4905 -> seems something to do with the Intel graphics driver. Please disable in Kdenlive the GPU acceleration and try again (CTRL SHIFT , -> playback)[/quote] Again, I can't run the program, to get to this point. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated. Why is is so complicated to get this application running on Windows 10? And so little information on fixing the issue i have raised. Someone else must have had this exact same issue? |

OK. Try to update the Intel graphics driver to the latest version: 24.20.100.6136. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downlo ... duct=80939
Afterwards try to start Kdenlive. EDIT: Just found with google some similar issues with the driver ig9icd64.dl: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/16310 Maybe you have even to roll back to version 21.20.16.4590. |

Ok thanks @Merlimau, all sorted with starting up the program now. I updated the graphics driver to the latest one available according to the OS. I just went to device manager, display adaptor and then hit update driver. Took about 3 mins tops and after a reboot, kdenlive started without an issue.

Because is not a Kdenlive fault... it's supposed that everyone that need video-editing as a featured graphics card (maybe for other video editing apps ..) and not only an Intel VGA. BTW.. great job Merlimau! |
