Hey!
While editing a recent video I've ran into a strange problem. I've rendered out my project and noticed that the footage is blurred and low quality. It turned out Kdenlive has replace an item in my Project Bin with it's proxy version. Here's a short video I've quickly recorded while trying to fix this: https://youtu.be/9ffIOri9Y0E I tried replacing the file path/name in the project, but that broke it and Kdenlive failed to open it again. So I renamed my proxy and replaced it with a symbolic link to the original footage - that seems to have worked. I'm rendering the video now, so I'm still not sure if it'll be fine, but the preview looked as expected. I was thinking about reporting this as a bug, but I have nothing to say about how this could have happened. Though I thought that maybe if other people do have this issue, it's worth talking about and showing possible ways to rescue a project, that's why I made the video. What do you think? Anybody had similar issues? I'm running Kdenlive 18.04.1 - official AppImage version for Linux. |

See this page: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... roxy_clips
Under Render -> more option -> you can tick “Render using proxy clips” I think this is not a bug but a feature. |
