I had Kdenlive open and clicked run configuration Wizard and a window popped up and said I need FriOr (freiOr-plugins) and dvauthor are both missing Packages.

The question here is how would I get these plugins
I tried opening Software Manager and searched for the Apps there, but nothing showed up.

My machine is running Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya Cinnamon, has 2 DVD drive, 64 GB Ram, Intel I5 CPU and 4 3 TB hard drives, not running any raid configuration

As you work on Mint try to download the Appimage direct from here: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/

You have to turn the Appimage into an executable file. Select the Appimage -> properties -> Perrmisson -> click on “Allow execute this file”.
