Hello, I am having issues with the 4k profiles. I started off by importing real 4k videos, but playback was impossibly slow, so I enabled proxies, and set them to generate on videos of more than 1000pixels. Everything seems to work fine, as when I imported the videos there was a working loading bar on them, and then a yellow and black P showed up on the thumbnale. But sadly when I tried to play back the video in the timeline it was still stuttering. Finally I tried importing various videos ranging from FHD to 640x360 footage, and all of them are stuttering in the 4k profile. If I try the other smaller profiles like HD or DVD, I don't get any issues.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this?

My computer is an
AMD FX 8320e
GTX 780
8gb 1600mhz
Kdenlive Version 18.04.1 on Linux

I have since tried running as root, and it seems to have helped. The smaller videos now play at a more acceptable rate.
