here the download: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ( Kdenlive-18.08.0-w64.7z )

Image

Very thank you to all the team and very very thank you to Vincent for the great "Windows build" !

btw... there is an old "visual" issue on rendering button... when rendering starts.. texts on button are "overlapped" (issue from first windows build)

Image

maybe the text: "Render" can be removed during "count-down" .. or the button can be "enlarged" a little bit.

Is there a formal changelog yet? I just checked the releases page and the most recent one was for 18.0.4.1.

for what is see on these 2 years.. there is not a "verbose" changelog (it was stopped on release 15.08 https://github.com/KDE/kdenlive/blob/master/ChangeLog )
all the news are exposed on website ... and on github the changes are done when "branching" from (i think) private updated sources (usually from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle)

probably this was made for the "lack of developers".. time for developing Kdenlive is "used" to fix and rewrite code.. and not to "expose" workslogs or verbose-changelogs ... on last year (two years?) , Vincent Pinon are working on Windows porting of Kdenlive.. and it's very very reliable, Windows builds are coming fast and fast updated. (from sources updated by Baptiste).

this is probably "why" this Win 18.08 with MLT 6.11.0 is out without any ufficial announce (Usually web pages are updated by Farid) but i think this happened because there is not an "Ufficial" Linux release (for now).

it's possibile to see some things about development here (Workboard) :
https://phabricator.kde.org/tag/kdenlive/

and updated sources here (refactoring timeline) :
https://github.com/KDE/kdenlive/branches

BTW ... this is just a my personal speculation... better to ask this to Vincent or Baptiste.

Out of the branch history I see:
- Increase max unzoom level, uniform zoom factor
- Fix custom lift/gamma/gain displaying wrong UI BUG: 364127
- Fix possible crash in monitor restart
- Reduce minimum profile widget height to make dialog fit in screen
- Require MLT 6.10 (to avoid the incompatible 6.8 ) -> Merlimau: Update to MLT 6.8 was only with Linux.

It’s strange, don’t see a branch merge to 18.08

Edit:
The history you find in the release notes: https://kdenlive.org/en/category/news/releases/
A summary of all release notes is here: https://www.videohelp.com/software/Kden ... on-history

Do we have a timeline on when the website is going to have the link updated to this new version? It still links to the old 18.04 for Windows.
