Without UTF8 and accentuated characters, the application is useless...

Try with the AppImage 18.08.

Thanks but unfortunately, not only the AppImage doesn't provide updates, it also doesn't have most of the icons (which should be part of kde).

But I'll do that while waiting for any kind of PPA, Snap, Flatpak option.

and now I realize that composite / affine are broken in exported videos...

If the Icons are missing or just partly installed than the libxcb-keysyms1 is missing.

It looks like your Kdenlive installation is not complete. It may help if you run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage folder and run the AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage. Then you see what are the missing parts of the installation.

Already checked. No error.

Restart the computer.

Still the Icons are missing.
