@ADepic Under "QT rendering crash": The kdenliverc file may not be in a kdenlive folder. For me, it was in the Local folder in the AppData folder.

You're still mentioning the folder "Kdenlive" in the updated wiki page for "QT rendering crash". My kdenliverc isn't in a Kdenlive folder at all. I would suggest just searching for kdenliverc in the AppData folder and renaming/deleting it. I'm using Windows 10 64-bit.

Thanks for creating this knowledge base.
I was going to post a question on when the very annoying space/pause bug would be fixed, but I guess it's known. Do you know any references in the bug tracker for this bug? Or if it's any priority to be fixed in the next version? I keep downloading new versions to see if it's fixed, and get very disappointed when it's not. It's such a major thing since a user would expect play/pause with space and get confused when it doesn't work. Strange that this does not get fixed, for me it's stopping me from using the program, the workaround isn't really good enough... |

It’s mentioned in following bugs: Bug 388064, 391493, 394123, 386281, Bug 397812.
Bug still exists in 18.08.2. Dev working on it to find the root cause. I agree, with some old graphic card Kdenlive is almost not usable under Windows. But an the same PC on Win7 running Kdenlive under Lubuntu in a Virtual Box play/pause runs as expected very smooth (strange, isn’t it?). |

Thanks Merlimau, for the information. Apparently it's a well known bug so I guess the only thing to do is wait.
I've tested a lot of NLEs on Windows, and Kdenlive comes closest to what I want in terms of features/usability. The others are either too weird (Lightworks), too basic (Shotcut), or too overkill for my use (Resolve). I've stuck with Resolve though, as it's the most stable and simply an insanely good editor, but again a bit too heavy for my usage... |

I don't understand the first workaround for the "Play/Pause Issue" part. Following these steps doesn't do anything to help for me. What has worked for me when the preview is frozen is "refreshing" the preview by resizing the preview using any of the resize handles.

Kdenliverc is in appdata/local. Where do you found in the help text that Kdenliverc is in the Kdenlive folder?
