EDIT : SOLVED. When saving the project with 'save as', i have to add by myself the suffix : '.kdenlive' to the name of the project, otherwise it does not save it.
I think that that's a bug - please note and tell the devs....

Hi,
Linux mint with KDENLIVE version 18.08.1

I am new to kdenlive, i have watched few tutorials, i have created videos and rendered them.
until here everything is fine.

now, i want to start a big project, so i want to save it while working on it.
but for some reason i can't manage to do it.

I have tried few times : file->save as or new->define route to save.....

but :

1. it always saves it in ~/.var/app/.org.kde.kdenlive/cache/kdenlive/ in folders with very long name like : 1537442975163

and inside these folders there are 3 folders : audiothumbs, preview, videothumbs and one file named :
.%2Frun%2Fuser%2F1000%2Fdoc%2Fe82c4067%2Ffirst%20blue%20screen%20video.kdenlive

this is an example of a project that i saved under the name : 'first blue screen video'
but this file has 0 bytes.
and when i try to open it in open->project

what i get from kdenlive is :
Cannot open the project file, error is:
unexpected end of file (line 1, col 1)
Do you want to open a backup file?

also, when i save a project, it asks me for the path to save, but doesn't offer me to name it...

What am I doing wrong, my friends ? :o

all i want is to know the right process of how to define where to save the projects, and how to open them to edit them.

thanks.
