Hey
I just followed https://kdenlive.org/en/project/howto-f ... ve-titles/ How to fade in and out text. It works perfectly, but not when i play the effect in my project monitor. In the project monitor the playback speed slows down. When i render it to mp4 format the playback is normal speed. (In the how to video it look likes normal playback speed when he uses the project monitor.) Why? I tried to set the preview zone on this area and wait, but still slow playback speed. Saving the projekt or adding music changed the playback speed in project monitor. Sry, for being not good at this. But this is really bugging me. I really would like to know why? Proberly something small and stupid i am not understanding. You work on Windows and there the playback is not as good as in Linux because there is no GPU acceleration so far. It’s all CPU rendered.
Try: above the timeline on the far left you have the possibility to change between normal/preview/high-quality. Try out normal. With that, you switch between QT and MLT rendering. |

Thxx. Trying to figure out why was driving me nuts.
And i think the many effects i can't seem to get to work might be that too, or me just being bad. Youtube and guides ftw! |

Merlimau can you point me towards the Kdenlive documentation on GPU acceleration? I have not been able to verify that information. My understanding was there were several effects that used GPU processing and that was about it. Also most of those affects are blacklisted.
https://cgit.kde.org/kdenlive.git/tree/ ... 8.08.2#n77 Very unfortunately it seems the Kdenlive project lacks this documentation, and the closest way to find out is by wandering over to the MLT project. https://www.mltframework.org/docs/opengl/ |
