Chromebook - no sound

Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:12 pm
I'm having a problem hearing sound within Kdenlive.
I installed Kdenlive on my Chromebook using the recently added Linux Apps for Chromebooks functionality. I was able to import and edit a video. However when I play the video in the editor I hear no sound. The sound bars move, as if sound is there, but I cannot hear it. Other sounds - in the regular Chrome OS environment - work, but not in Kdenlive.
Any ideas?

I don't know if this matters, but this is the version I have running:
version 16.12.2
Using:
KDE Frameworks 5.28.0
Qt 5.7.1 (built against 5.7.1)
The xcb windowing system

Please try with the actual Kdenlive AppImage version 18.08.3. Right click the Appimage and make executable.
Run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage folder and run the .AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage
