Render videos

Thu Nov 22, 2018 5:25 pm
Hello,

I am new to Kdenlive. I wish to render my videos and I don't know how to do this.

I did it using the render button, then accessing the menu "rendering" :

But I wish to be able to choose the settings more precisely:

e.g I wish to have 1920*1080 at 30 fps with mp4 (H.264)

or to render the movie with the same parameters it has (a copy)...

How can I do that ?

Thank you for any advice or any links (tutorials,...)

Hi,
You are supposed to choose your definition and frame rate when you create your project. You can theoretically change those afterwards, but it may have unwanted consequences (especially if you change the framerate, it can really mess things up).
At rendering time, you can choose to resize your project (tick the "more options" box)

You can also check the box that says more options, you can change some stuff there, but yeah the project's resolution is to keep in mind

I also have another question.

When rendering the movie, what are those settings? :

For the audio, video and the quality slider (see red arrows in my screenshot)...

Thank you.
