Organising segments of video?

Thu Feb 28, 2019 4:24 pm
I'm working on some unedited footage off youtube - the short comedy that Film Riot put up there for editing practice. It's my first time editing and I'd had no problems using the cut tool etc, but I am having a big problem organising my work. It seems natural to chop the video into segments and then label those segments. There are often alternates, so something "So what.01" and "So what 0.2", etc. But I can't find any way of doing this, even though it seems completely fundamental to me.

Am I missing something in kdenlive? Or is there a standard way of working that I'm missing?

Do you want to label clips? Let’s say you have a 3 minute clip and you want to label it with comments?

This you can do with markers: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... nu/Markers
