I tried asking this on reddit but nobody there answered the question so here it is:

Image

It won't let me go to a different part of the video, it's stuck at the beginning. I need to make 2 cuts on the footage so I can use the auto mask effect on a small section, but I can't put the cut in the right spot if I can't move the black arrow thing to find the right spot!

Hit SPACE -> if the play-head is not moving:
Hit END or CTRL+END (goes to the end of the clip) -> hit O (set out point) -> now you should see a blue line in the timeline.
Try again with SPACE.

If this is not working save and close Kdenlive. Delete the kdenliverc file:
- Linux: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration.
- Windows: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... ring_crash.

Start Kdenlive and try again.

How do I delete the kdenliverc file?

Close Kdenlive first. Then just delete the file.
