Using an mp4 transition

Mon May 06, 2019 11:35 am
Good morning, everyone :) .
I downloaded transitions in mp4 format from the internet.
These transitions have 2 colors: white and black.
I would like these colours to be replaced by images on both sides.
When I put a transition in the foreground, it displays black and white and when I put it under my video track you can't see anything.
Would you have a solution.
Thank you in advance.

You need to use the "Matte" composition

Hello, I've same problem, I use the matte transition with a mp4 transition from internet.
It's work fine in preview project monitor but when I render it doesn't work.

It doesn't render in KDE 19.12 than in the KDE 20.07.70 on win 10

Hi and thanks, I did resolve after a crazy nigth of try. 8-) :z :D
YOU HAVE TO RENDER THE VIDEO IN THE SAME DIRECTORY WHERE THE *.KDENLIVE IS!!!!! if not the "matte" transition is NOT renderized! So strange! xD

Image
The transition "MATTE" appplied on the .mp4 B/W clip

Image
The mp4 video transition as show in the cliip monitor (clip of a brush that paint of withe the black background!)

Image
How the result in the project window Clip B the lower is painted over the Clip A on the Top

HERE THE RESULT CHECK IT

Hope you enjoy. MATTE is the STRONGEST instrument of kdenlive for me. Cause Wipe isn't so professional. MATTE instead let you to create any kind of transition you want!!!
