Hello, I have found a weird bug with the Edge crop filter. When I view the clip in the project monitor everything seems to work as expected - the edges of the clip are cropped and the sides around it are black. But when I render the video I don't get a clip with black edges - I get the original widescreen clip but squished into the dimensions that I specified with the Edge crop filter. How do I get the video to render properly with black borders?

Using Kdenlive 19.04 with MLT version 6.14.0 on Manjaro Linux. Thanks.

Tested with Windows and AppImage 19.04.0. Work as expected: the left and right site is black after rendering. Try with the AppImage 19.04.0b and make sure the setting environment point to the correct path of the files.

Ah, I see what I was doing wrong. I was using the resize option in the render settings and that was what squeezed the video. If I don't touch the resize settings on the render dialogue box the edge crop filter works as expected.
