I seem to be missing frei0r plugins in my kdenlive install.
I've run apt-get install frei0r-plugins with success (no errors) but they are not available in kdenlive. The kdenlive install is either appimage or flatpak -I don't remember which and I'm not sure how to tell. Also, I'm not sure it even matters although it seems to me that it would. So I'm not surprised the frei0r plugins are not showing up in kdenlive, I'm just not sure how to do it. Thoughts? Thanks, Ed |

I think I've found the answer. There is (in the kdenlive screen) a box (panel?) that has two tabs beneath it, one with the word "Compositions" and one with the word "Effects". Clicking on the tabs changes the contents of the box (panel?) above the tab -although it is unclear which tab is selected and which is not-selected other than the fact that the contents of the box (panel?) changes and the tabs change slightly.
Seems a bit clunkier than in older versions but maybe its just that it is new and different. |

in this page https://kdenlive.org/en/2019/04/kdenliv ... -released/ I see that "Tested and removed all effects which are not working". For me most of frei0r effects are blacklisted when I launch kdenlive from a shell
"frei0r.3dflippo" is blacklisted "frei0r.bluescreen0r" is blacklisted "frei0r.bw0r" is blacklisted "frei0r.gamma" is blacklisted "frei0r.invert0r" is blacklisted "frei0r.rgbsplit0r" is blacklisted "frei0r.tehRoxx0r" is blacklisted "frei0r.transparency" is blacklisted "frei0r.vertigo" is blacklisted etc. I suppose that they are desactived |
