I found from the code in github : https://github.com/KDE/kdenlive/blob/ma ... ediactrl.c support for MCS3 commands.

I have a quite old but quite usable JLCooper MCS3 serial rs-232 device connected to my linux box. I've tested it and it works as far as getting the computer to read the output of the MCS3.

I would really like to use this old but quite good equipment. Is it just a matter of configuring the serial port to talk to kdenlive, similar to instructions here:

https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... og_Shuttle

I don't see any example for MCS3 though. Any help appreciated.

The JogShuttle work on Windows as well but it’s connected via USB. Maybe an serial rs-232 to USB converter can help. I don´t know how to connect and talking direct to the serial rs-232 interface.
