I'm on (X)Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Kdenlive 19.08.0a appimage.
I prefer to use ffmpeg from Ubuntu repository rather than the one included in Kdenlive's appimage, because Ubuntu's ffmpeg seems able to create proxys with Nvidia drivers (x264-nvenc).
But when I change ffmpeg path (Tools → Kdenlive Settings → Environment → MLT Environment), everything works until I switch off Kdenlive. Next time I launch it, it loses those settings.
It seems that the appimage remembers all the other settings except for that tab.
I tried to change the config file manually but nothing changes.

I have the same problem with the latest .appimage: kdenlive-19.08.2b-x86_64.appimage
Can anyone fix this?

Further more I would like to have nvenc support for the ffmpeg and melt files included in the appimage!

Can someone from the developpers do this?

Thanks
Patrick
