this is a very old version of Kdenlive... BTW this part of inetrface can't be added/removed, there is just a slider to select the orizontal size...
prease try an updated version of Kdenlive: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... 4.appimage

kdenlive 17.12.3 is already newest version for linux!

Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kdenlive

Code: Select all
gerlach@edge3:~/inf$ sudo apt-get install kdenlive
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
kdenlive is already the newest version (4:17.12.3-0ubuntu1).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 53 not upgraded.

I deleted ~/.config/kdenliverc , now the missing part is there again.

all Linux users with old distributions (what are you using now?) are using the updated appimages: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... 4.appimage (not the one that come from official repository) because there wa a total rewrite of timeline on 19.04

ah ... okay ... 19.08 released! Fine!

But I stay with Ubuntu LTS, I have the latest LTS and thats 18.04. I'll run that next two years.
Maybe someone makes a backport to 18.04. At the moment the image of 19.08 is not running with 18.04:

Thank you!
