I was wondering if there is an option to make some sort of title clip that changes over time. Similar go "Generators". Like, if I want to make subtitles or a counter that shows scene/chapter #. Can I put all in one clip that would display different strings over time? Or do I have to make separate Title Clip for each string of subtitles and each displayed title?

there is no a fast way to do subtitles .. on past on the forum was sugegsted the use of aegisub ( http://www.aegisub.org )
Kdnelive for now provide only single text or time-codes / frame-counters / numeric counters.

someone used rotoscopy to make titles appearing as a typewriter (there is a video on youtube) .
