Hello everyone,
Yesterday I downloaded latest version of kdenlive from producers page. I create my own montage but then while rendering I have all time only "Wait..." communicate and nothing happens for hours. Still looks like my laptop is doing some big work cause cooling system runs pretty loud. I'm using Kdenlive free version on Windows 10. I check that path to melt.exe in settings is correct. I run kdenlive as administrator. Could someone advice me how to fix this? Or is this normal and I need to wait 24h for 7min render? Regards, Koles |

Do you download 19.08.3 standalone?
Make sure all paths in settings --> environment are point to the folder where Kdenlive.exe is. Delete kdenliverc as descript here: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... ring_crash or follow this steps: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... itical_bug |

Yes. Downloaded from https://kdenlive.org/en/download/ What is difference between downloaded sandalone and with instalator? Cause in both is this same problem...
Did it. Moved all what is needed from shared folder to bin and changed paths in kdenlive. Didn't help.
Did it few times while googling and once now. Didn't help.
Like above. Also I did all what I find while googling before I make here account and create topic in hope of help so please. Do not send (no offence) useless universal fixes from FAQ because it was doing earlier and nothing works. That's why I create this topic. |

The rendering bar is not showed? there is no countdown?
i can suggest (just a try) to download latest standalone ( https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... _64-gcc.7z ) ... delete the old configration files form appdata/locallow and appdata/roaming place the decompressed standalone on the user folder (for example just on desktop... c:/users/user/desktop/kdenlive ) place just 1 clip on timeline and start rendering... (if this is working try with a more complicated project ... just to identify what is the issue. ) place the output of rendering also on an user folder (for example VIDEOS ) I dont' know what kind of project is.. but on past i had problems with JFIF images and WMP / MOV file formats during rendering. (also with some matroska compressed clips) i suppose you have already tried, but try stopping antivirus for 10 minutes. P.S. are you using Kdenlive on a not-english OS? (if you are not using english OS and english kdenlive, try to change on localization preferences the decimal point from COMMA ... to POINT , this make old project not working, but fixes a lot of rendering issues. ) |

Yes. There was no rendering bar and countdown. Just "Waiting...". And 30% CPU usage for mlt.exe
One from this two helped. I removed files from appdata/roaming(locallow did not have any), and downloaded kdenlive from your link. Now it is working. So thank you. Still did not know what was root of problem. I was using one .png screenshot, .mp3 file from YouTube free sounds to background and .mp4 files recorded by NVidia Expirience(montage of funny moments while gaming with friends) so there was no formats like you mentioned. With language funny thing is that I have Polish localized Win10, and kdenlive downloaded from https://kdenlive.org/en/download/ was from default localized to Polish. That one from you is half in Polish half in English But it works so I'm taking it Thanks again. Have a nice day/night/weekend guys. |
