Why does kdenlive start up to the right of the monitor and down several pixels?
And why is it that after I reposition the window and close it, it does not save the prior location for the next time I start kdenlive? This is one of the few programs I have come across that has this quirk. All programs should have the capability of starting up at the last monitor coordinates where it shut down; it's almost a given that programs should do this, why does kedenlive not? I would post a screen shot but that functionality does not appear to be allowed. I don't like odd quirks in software, it indicates that the developer does not know the basic standards and best practices of software development. This is the worst forum I have ever been in. No link to the users profile, and therefore no way to make suggested changes such as tagging my operating system version. |

I have same problem. Not only with Kdenlive, but also with Okular. Every time they load they appear 1/3 off the screen. And they don't save their position. This happens on both high DPI system (150%) and standard DPI system (100%). So it's not DPI related. It's some common positioning bug.
They both have fixed and forced zero position at 1600x766. https://i.imgur.com/vqgBFjR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/tgQNEbl.jpg |
