HI,
I'm new to Linux and to Kdenlive, so sorry if some of this is elementary.
I loaded Kdenlive using terminal, and was able to load video and play it. I then checked out different view modes, ran suddenly the program is unresponsive. The menus are all clustered together in the top left. When I click on any one of them, I get a black box. I'm not able to add video or change back to another viewing mode. I have uninstalled Kdenlive, reloaded using Synaptic Manager and again using Software Manager - but I keep getting the same stuck interface. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Hi can you provide your OS and the version of Kdenlive you are using?

better switch to a 2020 release of Kdenlive
