Hi, I downloaded and installed the windows Kdenlive version. I dropped a video in the left pane. I expected to see something at the bottom frame, some video and audio streams. Nothing. I spent two hours playing around, watching useless tutorial videos and checking online tutorial where it all works just fine. Everybody has got the damn streams and can select them and play and edit with the videos. I am stuck and have no idea what am I doing wrong...
Since I do not see an attach image I uploaded a screenshot here:

Thank you I hope it has some easy workaround as I would really like to start using it. I use Windows 7 with i5.
Thanks
N.

you have an Intel video card (that BTW is not a video editing card... but can be used)

just change the parameters on this menu':

one of the 3 choices probably make the TIMELINE appear (now there is just an empty black box)

if the issue can't be solved using this method you have to downgrade your Intel video drivers to a previous version. (or if you are using microsoft intel drivers you have to download an official video card intel driver for your motherboard/laptop.

for more infos: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... ard_driver

P.S. this issue is only Windows side (on Linux everything works fine) and related to Laptops with poor graphics card (stock intel that came with CPU)

Thank you very much for your advice, I changed it and now kdenlive won't even start. Several tries do not help. Even after reinstall and ccleaner which cleaned the registry and even the standalone version does not start. So I am probably set to use another software :/
My graphic card is old Nvidia NVS 3100M

Kdenlive doesn't write any registry entry (like any other opensource multiplatform software) ... so Ccleaner is completely useless.. the configuration file to delete is: c:/users/YOURUSER/appdata/local/kdenliverc
well probably this is issue can be related to the Quadro card... "exotic" card that probably was never tested before.
if you have time, try an older version... maybe 19.4 ... https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... dalone.exe (but i dubt this can do something different)

BTW i have a couple of Quadro card somewhere and maybe i can do some tests (on Windows) with these cards.
