Hi,
I'm a newbie here. I have been using Kdenlive as my only editor since December last year. The "Show Background" feature in Title Clip editor was working fine until the last two updates. Whenever I tick the box "Show Background" the background is not reflected so it's challenging to view your text against the background. Kdenlive version 19.12.0 is the only version that currently supports this feature. I'm using it on Windows 10. All the releases for this year are lacking in this functionalities. So how do I fix this? Should I wait for the next release? I appreciate your response. Mchungaji |

Hi, you have to switch the OPENGL backend from Directx to OPENGL ( MENU --> SETTINGS )

Hello,
I use Kdenlive both on Linux and Windows machines. On Windows I've two graphic cards: Intel(R) UHD Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 The first (Intel(R) UHD Graphics) works only with DirectX (Angle) and the Title Clip editor does not show the background. If I use the NVIDIA GeForce MX250, I can set OpenGL (without the known negative effects on the UI) but the Title Clip editor still doesn't show the background (it remains black). Kdenlive Version 20.04.1 Windows 10 Home ed. Regards, Checco |

This still seems to be a problem on WIN10 with either OPENGL or DirectX backends chosen. Nvidia 2080 user.
Thanks. |

this was fixed also on Directx but you need to use a daily build ... or next Kdenlive release. (finally)
