Using Dynamic text is easy enough. Drag and drop it onto the video clip, open the properties, and select #timecode# to display a timer.
The time code follows the video clip precisely. So the beginning of the video clip is zero or 00:00:00:00. At five minutes in, the timer reads 00:05:00:00. But how do I set this timer to zero when I'm already five minutes into my video? In other words, I want to start my timer at the five minute mark of my video, but have it read at zero (00:00:00:00), not at five minutes. (00:05:00:00). |

Workaround solution I use:
- Have a dedicated track for the dynamic text - Overlay the dynamic text over the clip (trackwise...) - Cut the dynamic text clip as needed |
