Is there a way to get more precision on the version than just the number?
For example, in Blender you can get a hash code or the exact date of the build. Anything like that for Kdenlive? |

We are following the KDE release strategy, so we have the major release and the dot release. See here https://community.kde.org/Schedules.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
I know how to check the version number but that's not always enough. For example in the current situation we have a bugfix release (20.04.0b). There doesn't seem to be a way to check whether my installed version is the bugfix release or not from the interface. Moreover, if I use an unstable development version, then each build should have an identifier. In Blender we can easily check the complete hash and precise date of each build from the interface. Is there an alternative (command line or other) for Kdenlive? |
