Multiple edits?

Tue May 05, 2020 6:31 pm
Is there a way to have multiple edits (in other words multiple timelines) in the same project ?
I'm not talking about tracks but rather complete multitrack timelines.
For example, in Blender you can have multiple scenes in a file, each of which can have its own video edit.

One reason I would like that is so I wouldn't have to make copies of a project file which's project bins would get out of sync as I add clips in them. This way it would get easier to explore alternative edits.

This is on roadmap, but maybe next year only, unless new manpower joins the boat!

Ok, no problem. Is there some way to copy project bin content from one project to another then?
It's not so much for the files themselves, as I can easily add them with a drag & drop from a file browser, but if I add zones using the "insert zone in project bin" button, then I don't know how to copy them from one project to the other.
