Dear Kdenlive Developers,

Each attempt of changing some clip's speed below ~50 percents calls a crash. This is very frustrating.
What might it be?

what mean -50% ?
you are reversing the clip and set the speed ayt 50% ?
using the change speed context menu?
using the "duplicate clip with speed change" ?
using the CTRL+MOUSE fast speed change funztion?

asking that beacuse i'm using every day the change speed of kdenlive without issues. (and looking at the forum and at opened issues .. no one has simlar issues right now)
talking about LATEST BUILDS of kadenlive: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... age_Build/

P.S are you using Kdenlive on what platform? Linux or Windows?

Thank you for reply!
`~` is not a minus, but an "approximately equal" symbol. A tilde. So, approximately 50%. (here, the font website uses, shows that badly).
This is a demonstration how it looks like: https://s4.gifyu.com/images/160250_09052020.gif

OS: Windows 64bit (all drivers are the latest).

It seems you use an old Kdenlive version which has this bug. Please try with 20.04.0 (standalone or install version.)

The same issue exists in the latest version 20.04.0.

Set the FFMPEG path correct in the timeline settings? Delete kdenliverc and try again -> https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration

Dear Merlimau, I have used standalone version every time and removed the whole folder of previous version before downloading a new one.
Downloaded a new version and the issue persists.

Deleting the folder only is not enough. You have to delete the settings as well.
So please delete "kdenliverc" and try again -> https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration

Thank you, but I stopped an application, deleted a file `kdenliverc`, started an application and the issue persists.

Can you upload a short part of that mp4 clip? I like to test your clip.

This video, I prepared for you, should cause this issue when changing a speed from 100% to 20% and then from 20% to 10%: https://transfer.sh/lKsYW/30_1.rar

just tried with your file.. and the bugs happens... tried with other 4 clips from my harddrive and there are no issues using them...
seems related to the audio/video format of the clip.

seems that this happens ONLY when accepting CLIP RESOLUTION as a PROJECT RESOLUTION when putting it on the Project bin...
if i choice a FullHD(or 4K 60fps) project (using the NEW project choice on menu) ... and after that i load the CLIP.. there are no issues on changing speed.. (not accepting the request of project resolution change)

Image

the question is ... why Kdenlive is requesting a project resolution change when the project resolution is 3840x2160 60fps .. and the CLIP is 3840x2160 60fps? something related to audio codec? and why the accepted resolution of the clip is making this freeze...

can you provide a very small clip (someting like 4 seconds) of the clip grabbed on the same mode of the 300mb clip?

Of course, trimmed the same video using Kdenlive with accepting conversion from 2160p60 to 2160p60(same?): https://transfer.sh/13BbD0/30_2.zip

These videos are captured using Nvidia GeForce Experience in-game capture (https://www.nvidia.com/ru-ru/geforce/geforce-experience/).
