Fri May 08, 2020 12:24 pm
hi, i need to make a video with multiple images like a slideshow transformation (6 months transformation kind of ) and kdenlive has this slideshow option which is awesome but i have one problem that when i import the media files that is the pictures[230] and some video clips the pictures that are vertical [shot vertical on a mobile] gets imported as horizontal ones i searched a bit and saw something like it doesn't get orientation metadata from pictures and i cant get a workaround for , any help is highly apprecieated and thanks :)

here is a screenshot https://ibb.co/yf0P7Jr , cant seem to add image with the img option (dimension problem)

thanks for the answer, but there is no disable auto rotate in the properties tab of the picture , the thing is that video clips are oriented correctly
but when it comes for pictures the orientation is wrong and there is no disable auto rotate and
some pictures are oriented correctly i dont know why
i attached a ss of both images for any further clarifications

screenshot of not oriented :https://ibb.co/VNLJHV8
screenshot of correct oriented pic : https://ibb.co/6s0WbWX

ps: sorry for a late response

Is it me or do the images you imported have different dimensions? The first one looks like a cropped one from a shot in landscape (beats me why it was rotated then).

One suggestion if you cannot resolve the auto rotate: once imported in moved to the timeline move all images that need rotating to the track above and apply a rotate effect to the track. That way all images in that track will be rotated at once (assuming they all need rotating in the same direction).

there is an open issue about wrong rotation of images: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/issues/484
is this your case?

(this was fixed 2 months ago'... are you using an old version of kdenlive?)
