Hello,
Windows 10
kdenlive-20.04.1.exe
What does it mean when I drag a video file into the project bin area and it shows only a white proxy file.
I have kdenlive set up to create proxy files,
-kdenlive config> proxy> enabled, anything above 500pixels
-also at project settings> proxy> enabled, again anything above 500pixels
...so when I drop a clip onto the bin area proxy files are automatically made...
but sometimes the bin only shows P with white only.
.MOV files seem to sometimes get proxied successfully, by most of the time not successfully.
.MP4 files consistently proxy fine.
btw, the white attempted proxies in bin do not drag to timeline either, it's like there's nothing there
...these are only files around 10mb too, so not real huge
and they tend to be .mov video clips, h264, 1920 x 1080, 24fps, from an ipad.
Any ideas for me to try?
Thanks

Edit: note that if I convert those .mov that showed up as only white empty proxy clips to .mp4 before
dropping them into kdenlive bin, they show up fine as proxy clips...so maybe it's something to do with the
.mov format? ...but interesting that some of the .mov proxy fine, while other .mov do not...
I wonder what might be the problem and the solution? (the pre-convert to mp4 surely loses some quality,
so I prefer to not have to do that first each time with the problem .mov files, thanks again for any ideas to try
