What's the shortcut for drag & drop into timeline?

Say I have a clip in my project bin that I want inserted into the timeline at the playhead.
If I select an empty track and then use the shortcut B or V, the clip is inserted into the empty track, but all the other tracks are cut and moved over to create space for the clip in the empty track. Kind of like ripple delete but in reverse. Maybe "ripple insert"?
What I want to do is insert the clip into the selected track without moving everything over.
I've tried the shortcuts B and V both in Normal, Overwrite and Insert mode and they all do the ripple insert effect. It seems like these shortcuts both do exactly the same thing.
I'm looking for a shortcut that inserts and overwrites without affecting the other tracks.
Thanks.

If you working with Kdenlive 20.08 or newer see here "3 point editing with keyboard shortcuts": https://kdenlive.org/en/2019/08/kdenliv ... -released/

Thanks for the response. I've found instructions on https://kdenlive.org/en/project/3-point-editing-intro/ which were more clear. Unfortunately I keep getting the error "Could not insert zone" at step 6.
