Kdenlive - transform size not working

I'm using kdenlive version 20.04.2 and am trying to zoom in on a portion of a
clip using the size property in a transform composition attached to the
clip. No matter what value I enter, the image remains unchanged in the project
monitor screen. I've tried values of 300% and 200%. Can someone please tell me
what I'm doing wrong? How do I scale my image?

On further investigation I find that if I move the clip, the transform does
not move, so the transform is not actually attached to the clip. This is true
even if I right click on the clip and select insert composition. The transform
appears over the clip, but is not attached to it.

I have not been able to find a description of this problem, nor a solution to
it online.

Compositions are TRACK related (not clip related) if you want to add some zoom/moving effect to a clip (and move the effect with the clip) just add an EFFECT on it (TRASNFORM for example)

btw.. the compositions are working without issues... just place a clip on V1... with the mouse button insert a composition (for example COMPOSITE AND TRANSFORM) and now clicking on the COMPOSITION (ON TIMELINE) you can move the clip using the CENTER RED TARGET on the PROJECT MONITOR preview window (also you can change the size) ... this is related to FIRST KEYFRAME (aka entire composite time).

this is a very old tutorial about compositions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMc8Z8j1hsQ (still valid)

Thank you! That did fix the problem. I'm still getting used to the new interface. Recently finished a 90m project with kdenlive ver 18. Th new interface is quite different. I'll be sure to look at the YouTube video.
