I would like to share a small tutorial I recently wrote about stabilising a video subject with a custom method using the "Auto Mask" effect.

Link to blog post: https://ferrolho.github.io/blog/2020-08-09/stabilizing-a-video-subject-in-kdenlive

I would be happy to get any feedback from the community. :)

i request this "upgrade" last year... can be an easy "feature" to implement.. but for now.. nothing is made.
BTW your tutorial can "alert" developers about this great feature (that right now is completely missing on Kdenlive)

Just tested today the new changes made by Julius Künzel when importing points on Transform and position and Zoom...
and the feature now is a part of Kdenlive :)

right now is necessary to track the object using motion tracker and after this juts copy points on clipboard and re-import them as "INVERTED POSITION" (selecting CENTER)
to have a centered view of the object :)

i will made a video about this soon.
