kdenlive has just been installed, so I am a bloody beginner with a problem.

1. kdenlive was started and a new project begun. A mp4 file of 29 s length was drawn
to the V2 timeline. There two frames with clip symbol appeared. By cntrl+space
the clip was correctly played in the clip monitor.

2. The right side of the right frame in the timeline was pushed to the left up to
20 s, the left side of the left frame was pushed to the right up to 9 s. On
cntrl+space the clip was played, the first 9 s void and then up to 20 s.
This is almost ok: the clip should be shortened at the beginning, so the
display should start at 9 s and not at 0 s.

What is to be done in order to have the clip start at 9 s?

3. kdenlive was ended by file > end. To the question whether the changes should
be saved I answered yes and then choose directory and file name for that.
But there I found just meta data of the project in which I am not that much
interested.

Have i forgotten something, where is the looked for shortened mp4 file to be found?

after that just press "render" and choice MP4 as output (you can choice output folder)
