Can't import from library

Sat Sep 12, 2020 5:22 pm
I can't import from a library a few clips from timeline between two kdenlive's projects. When I trying to use "Add clip to Project" from library, I always receiving a message "Cannot open file filename.mlt".
Am I doing something wrong?

kdenlive 20.11.70, Win10.

I've selected few clips with effects from my project, and clicked "Add timeline selection to Library" and named file lol.mlt. Therefore, I want to import and use this clips in another project.

I think, that the 3 selected clips were exported to the lol.mlt. Am i right?

Here's the screenshot:

Just made some more tests.. and i can't reproduce your issue.. i selected 3 clips form timeline.. add them to Library.. and after that moved again from library to timlein without issues.

the MLT file is a "script" that just link to original videoclip location.. if you have moved the clips from origianl position .. or renamed them.. the MLT fails to load resources.
Code: Select all
<property name="length">462</property>
    <property name="eof">pause</property>
    <property name="resource">C:/Users/barto/OneDrive/Desktop/acer facile condenstaore crabainerie/20200910_171806.mp4</property>
    <property name="audio_index">1</property>
    <property name="video_index">0</property>
    <property name="mute_on_pause">0</property>
    <property name="mlt_service">avformat-novalidate</property>
    <property name="seekable">1</property>
    <property name="aspect_ratio">1</property>
    <property name="kdenlive:clipname"></property>
    <property name="kdenlive:folderid">-1</property>
    <property name="kdenlive:id">13</property>
    <property name="kdenlive:file_size">33295706</property>
    <property name="kdenlive:file_hash">8263f2af2a0dbf99f8c9dd358f3816c2</property>
    <property name="global_feed">1</property>
    <property name="xml">was here</property>
    <property name="meta.media.nb_streams">2</property>
    <property name="meta.media.0.stream.type">video</property>

in this case this is the path to clip (on the MLT file) C:/Users/barto/OneDrive/Desktop/acer facile condenstaore crabainerie/20200910_171806.mp4

I'm currently having the same issue with the 20.12 appimage. I tried to add a single color clip to the library and couldn't load it from it. Not sure what the problem is.

Same here. I also tried with the default and non-default Library path.
As well as some tests with and without Proxy-Option with no success. My guess was that it has to do with kdenlive tricking MLT to use the proxies by changing the path within the .mlt file in the background.

Kdenlive Version 20.12.3
KDE Frameworks 5.79.0
Qt 5.15.2 (built against 5.15.2)
The xcb windowing system
MLT version 6.24.0
FFmpeg libraries

EDIT:
Renaming
~/.config/kdenliverc to ~/.config/kdenliverc.bkp and
~/.local/share/kdenlive to ~/.local/share/kdenlive.bkp
did the trick for me.

i've tried to use this as a solution but i corrupt every ".mlt" file i've created
