Hello,
I am writing to you because I am new to Kdenlive under Windows. I did some simple video / audio edits. There I would like to add a summary in a video. The different elements of this summary would arrive with a scanning effect from top to bottom or from right to left. Today I manage to do something with powerpoint then after I import into kdenlive. But it is laborious. The title clips seem quite simple to me because the rectangles cannot have rounded corners (for example) And I can't seem to do what I want with composite. In short, I'm struggling. Do you have any tips or tutorials that I could watch on summaries or beginners? Thanks in advance |

you can easly do this using rotoscoping.
these are 2 complex example about it using titles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwZDzoap_iQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5uBPpwOwlQ just apply the rotoscope mask from up to down .. and not from left to right |

You could also use the Alpha Shapes effect. I find them easier to use than rotoscoping for simple things like your scanning transition, in particular if it involves straight lines. Unfortunately, rotoscoping has no snap function (feature request? ). It is also much better suited for masking complex shapes.
For the second scanning effect in your example Alpha Shapes may mot work but experiment a little, perhaps with layered tracks for each box you want to "scan across".
