Hi,

I am importing a exr and the alpha is black color..
so the problem I get while keeping in Colour blending mode, the transparent area becomes black and white.

I am stuck and would appreciate any help.

Please tell me what am I missing.. a setting maybe?

My open exr is Half-float(16bit/ch).. there is transperency.

Thank you in advance!

Yeah found the solution.. after 2 hours of experimenting!

You need a extra alpha mask..

Here is what I have done

1. You need a black and white Alpha mask that will tell KRITA------BLACK = TRANSPARENCY, WHITE = NON-TRANSPARENT AREA.
2. Place the alpha mask on top of the layer which you desire to keep in color blending mode.
3. Now right click the mask and click convert - transparency mask.

This solved my problem!
